The mattress that started it all. Our Signature Tufted Mattress is a traditional two-sided mattress made for sleepers who prefer a supportive, non-cushioned surface. Built with a classic innerspring support system and available in three firmness options, it helps keep the body lifted while supporting the hips, lower back, and shoulders.
Hand tufting compresses the inner layers into place for a consistent feel, long-term durability, and the firm support Gardner’s original mattress is known for. It is especially well-suited for back sleepers, stomach sleepers, and anyone looking for a flippable handmade mattress with a more traditional feel.

Where Tradition Meets Lasting Comfort
The Signature Tufted uses the same core comfort materials across each firmness option, with the support level determined by the spring system inside. Depending on the firmness selected, the mattress is built with either a Bonnell coil system or heavy-duty offset springs, using different coil counts and steel gauges to create a medium firm, firm, or extra firm feel.
Each mattress is layered with insulating pads, cotton batting, and a smooth layer of 1.8 lb CertiPUR-US® certified foam before being hand tufted to hold the materials securely in place. This construction gives Signature Tufted its firm, even surface, classic innerspring support, and dependable durability.

Our mattresses come in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King sizes. Custom sizes are also available upon request.
